Prof. Peng Xu has long been engaged in the research of HVAC systems. And he also has great interest on applying big data and AI technologies in our research field to improve building design and operation performance.
The facility is used for performance evaluation on energy efficiency technologies of HVAC system. It can also be used to test different control strategies, including CAV control, VAV control, fan frequency conversion control, air distribution control, exhaust air control,etc.
The facility is used to conduct test on different windows, measure heat conduction coefficiencies and solar heat gain factor of windows, validate overall energy efficiency performance of windows.
